Blue Earth 1807 – 2007
A sculpture in the form of a large metal globe to commemorate the Bicentenary of the Abolition of Transatlantic Slave Trade in South Africa in 2007. It is installed in the African Worlds Gallery at the Horniman Museum London,
Visitors can spin the globe to see the slave routes etched on the surface of the sphere which is made of the kind of black steel associated with the slave trade.
